Berlin police confiscate John Lennon’s stolen diaries

The diaries and other items were stolen from Lennon’s widow Yoko Ono’s home in 2006. Now they are arresting police officers as part of a preliminary investigation.

A man who allegedly tried to sell diaries and other stolen objects from the estate of John Lennon has been arrested in Berlin. The police in Berlin announced on Monday that the 58-year-old was being investigated for fraud and stolen goods.

The objects were stolen from the Lennon widow Yoko Ono in New York in 2006 and turned up at the alleged fence three years ago. The police were able to secure the objects as evidence this year in the ongoing proceedings. During the searches on Monday morning, other things from the Beatles singer’s estate were discovered in a car.
