Paul McCartney, 79, ex-Beatle, rejects any guilt. The musician again contradicted rumors that he was responsible for the band’s breakup in 1970. “I didn’t initiate the break. That was our Johnny,” said McCartney, referring to his co-songwriter John Lennon. If Lennon hadn’t left the band, their career could have lasted even longer. The group had created “pretty good stuff”, “Abbey Road”, “Let it Be”, “quite decent”, quoted British media from a McCartney interview with the BBC, which is due to be broadcast on October 23. “That was my band, that was my job, that was my life, that’s why I wanted it to go on.”
