NOVEMBER 30, 2012 – 76-year-old Glen Campbell (April 22, 1936 – August 8, 2017) gave his final concert At the Uptown Theatre in Napa, California, the last stop on his “Goodbye” tour.

In June 2011, Campbell announced he had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease six months and embarked on a final tour with three of his children joining him in his backup band. He released his final album of original music “Ghost on the Canvas” (with guests Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins, Rick Nielsen of Cheap Trick, Paul Westerberg and Jakob Dylan) and played 151 shows on his final tour which began in September 2011. George Altamura, owner of the Uptown, said, “I saw him on television and I thought, ‘If I want him to play in my theater, I’d better call him now,” he explained as he greeted guests in the theater lobby.
