John Lennon was the Walrus, though apparently Ringo Starr wore the walrus costume for the Magical Mystery Tour film shoot. "The Walrus was Paul" was a phony clue, sung by John Lennon as a joke in "Glass Onion". Lennon's later song "God" included the lyrics "I was the Walrus, but now I'm John".

A Cellarful of Noise is the title of Brian Epstein's 1964 autobiography. His assistant, Derek Taylor, was the ghostwriter of the book, which describes the early days of The Beatles, whom Epstein managed.

Penny Lane/Strawberry Fields Forever reached no 2 in 1967

was a Welsh comedy actor, author, poet and raconteur. He appeared in dozens of films and stage plays throughout his 50-year career and is best remembered today for appearing in the three Beatles films in the 1960s, A Hard Day's Night, Help! and Magical Mystery Tour.

James Paul McCartney was born on 18 June 1942 in Walton Hospital, Liverpool, England, where his mother, Mary Patricia (née Mohin) (1909–1956), had qualified to practise as a nurse. His father, James ("Jim") McCartney (1902–1976), was absent from his son's birth due to his work as a volunteer firefighter during World War II.

A Hard Day's Night. All other albums from their "Beatlemania period" featured songs mostly by Lennon and McCartney, but also Harrison, and other songwriters as well. Albums from Revolver forward featured songs written by the Beatles only, but always a song or two from Harrison. The White Album and Abbey Road even featured songs by Richard Starkey (aka Ringo Starr).
