February 09, 1961. The Beatles performed live for the first time at the Cavern Club in Liverpool, where they played a total of 292 concerts. They were neither long-haired, nor famous, nor were they bet on from the beginning, and there were not even four but five of them. Because in those Beatles that debuted in ‘The Cavern’ on February 9, 61, there were Lennon, McCartney and Harrison, but also Sutcliffe, who died a year later, and Pet Best on drums. Seen with today’s eyes that first concert was really strange.
