The Beatles work will be stored in the doomsday safe

The Beatles’ work will be stored in the doomsday safe in the North Pole for a thousand year.

The data protection facility called the North Pole Global Archive on the Spitsbergen Island decided to store The Beatles songs. According to Independent Turkey news, Australian Aboriginal musicians will also be included among other artists in this safe resistant against nuclear and natural disasters.

Elire Management Group plans to build the safe to withstand extreme electromagnetic pulses, such as those from a nuclear explosion that could permanently damage electronic components and corrupt digital files.

Elire collaborated with the International Music Council – IMC to decide which songs will be stored. The two organizations aim to choose the most valued and loved music around the world.

ICM chairman said, “this is about ensuring the safety of the future of the music by having the archives of the past.”

The public will have the opportunity to choose which songs will be stored. On the other hand, the songs cannot be put into the safe without the permission of the copyright holders.

Elire aims to collect fee from artists and record companies that want to use the safe to store their works. The listeners will be able to access to the music archive according to the plan. The first songs are planned to be placed in the safe on Spring 2022.
