It has long been established and well documented over the years that John Lennon met Paul McCartney at a Garden Fete held at St. Peter’s Church, Woolton, Liverpool on July 06, 1957. However, there’s a new rumor floating around that on June 22, 1957, Paul attended the Quarry Men’s performance on Rosebery Street, Liverpool as they performed on the back of a parked coal tuck. Even though they did not meet on that day, Paul would have at least heard of the band before or by June 22. Is that Paul in the bottom right hand corner of this pic wearing glasses?
That’s not Paul McCartney at the right bottom of that picture. Paul did not were glasses. John Lennon did.

My friend lived on Rosebury Street and can confirm the authenticity of this photo. He also says Paul wore ‘glasses ‘ to look like Buddy Holly!
