Sunday June 25, 1967. The Beatles sitting round a table in the Abbey Road Studios canteen during a break in rehearsals for their 1967 “Our World” live broadcast. The photograph was taken by David Magnus, who recalled:
“Sunday morning the Beatles arrived at Abbey Road Studio 2 then, after having refreshments in the Abbey Road Studios canteen, they got dressed into their special psychedelic outfits made for the show. The tension in the Studio was mounting all the time but The Beatles remained calm being the true professionals that they were. I continued to photograph The Beatles in the way I found best suited this occasion, preferring to use a longer lens than normal so as to achieve a reportage feel to my photographs.”
