Sunday 11 February 1968. The Beatles go to Abbey Road to shoot a promo clip for ‘Lady Madonna’ – and record a new song in the process. The song is John’s half-written “Hey Bullfrog,” which he & Paul will finish in the studio that day.At the end of the track, Paul made John laugh by barking like a dog, prompting Lennon to change the song’s title to “Hey Bulldog.”It eventually found a home on the ‘Yellow Submarine’ soundtrack. But the sequence for the song was cut from the U.S. version of the film because the group felt it made the movie too long.
