Sunday 11 February 1968. The Beatles go to Abbey Road to shoot a promo clip for ‘Lady Madonna’ – and record a new song in the process. The song is John’s half-written “Hey Bullfrog,” which he & Paul will finish writing in the studio that day.At the end of the track, Paul made John laugh by barking like a dog, prompting Lennon to change the song’s title to ‘Hey Bulldog.’It eventually found a home on the ‘Yellow Submarine’ soundtrack. But the sequence was cut from the original U.S. version of the film because the group felt it made the movie too long.
