The Beatles – “A Fool on the Hill” was recorded on this date in ’67.

Paul was walking with Brian’s assistant, Alistair Taylor, on Primrose Hill conversing about the existence of God when a mysterious man suddenly appeared and disappeared again. This prompted Paul to write the song, which became one of Paul’s most widely recorded ballads.“Now that’s Paul. Another good lyric,” said John in 1980.
