The Beatles in 2026: Anthology 4, Four New Movies, and Unreleased Music

Beatlemania is far from over! As we move through 2026, fans of the Fab Four have an incredible array of new releases, movies, and unreleased music to look forward to. From a massive Disney+ documentary expansion to a groundbreaking cinematic event directed by Sam Mendes, The Beatles are dominating the entertainment world once again.

Anthology Gets a Massive Expansion

The Beatles’ legacy continues to grow with new releases.

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the landmark Anthology project, a monumental rerelease has hit the shelves and streaming platforms. The original eight-part documentary has been fully restored, remastered, and expanded into nine episodes, now streaming exclusively on Disney+.

Even more exciting for audiophiles is the release of Anthology 4. This brand-new volume features 13 previously unreleased recordings. It also includes pristine new mixes of “Free as a Bird” and “Real Love,” produced by Jeff Lynne, utilizing the same advanced audio separation technology used for 2023’s “Now and Then.”

Sam Mendes’ Four-Film Cinematic Event

Hollywood is also getting in on the action. Acclaimed director Sam Mendes is currently developing a massive four-film project, with each movie told from the perspective of a different band member. The cast has already generated massive buzz:

  • Harris Dickinson as John Lennon
  • Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney
  • Joseph Quinn as George Harrison
  • Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr

Production for these films officially wrapped up in early 2026, and they are slated for a unique, interwoven theatrical release in 2028.

More Documentaries and Dramas

The content doesn’t stop there. Amazon Prime recently acquired Man on the Run, a highly anticipated documentary focusing on Paul McCartney’s post-Beatles career with Wings. Meanwhile, the BBC has announced Hamburg Days, a new drama series based on Klaus Voormann’s autobiography that will explore the band’s gritty, formative years in Germany.

Whether you’re looking forward to hearing unreleased tracks or watching Hollywood’s brightest young stars portray the iconic quartet, there has never been a better time to be a Beatles fan.
