NOVEMBER 16, 1962 – The Beatles recorded their second appearance on Radio Luxembourg, for the show “The Friday Spectacular”, a program designed to plug EMI’s latest releases. Recorded at EMI House, the label’s headquarters in Manchester Square, London, The Beatles were interviewed and then performed both sides of their latest single, “Love Me Do” and “P.S. I Love You” in front of a live audience. The show was later broadcast on November 23, 1962 from 10-11pm.During their first appearance on the show on October 8th they were interviewed but didn’t perform, although the studio versions of the same two songs were played.
