Since 2014, the almost surreal clip of the song “Strawberry Fields Forever” gained space for The Beatles fans. Filmed on January 30 and 31, 1967 in Knole Park, Sevenoaks England, the video was one of the first examples of what would come to be known as a music video. The film features reverse recording effects, stop motion animation, close-ups and fast cuts from day to night, giving it a surreal air, even more combined with Beatles music. At the end, you can see the band pouring paint over a piano that is connected to a tree.Directed by Swedish Peter Goldmann, the clip showcased the band’s new look, as all four had recently grown mustaches. Additionally, John Lennon wore his round glasses for the first time as a member of the group.Alongside “Penny Lane”, the video for “Strawberry Fields Forever” was selected by New York’s MoMA as one of the most influential music videos of the late 1960s. Both songs were released on the market at the same time, in one single of 1967.
