Paul called Joe Cocker’s 1968 recorded rendition of “Little Help From My Friends” “mind blowing”.
So, even before Cocker’s iconic performance at Woodstock, Paul and George invited him to record “She Came in Through the Bathroom Window” and “Something.”
Below are photos of George and Joe recording “Bathroom Window” at Apple Studios in February 1969.
The song, by the way, was one of George’s favorites written by Paul.
Cocker also covered “You’ve Got to Hide Your Love Away”,”I’ll Cry Instead,” and “Maybe I’m Amazed” at different times in his career.
Thank you to Boris for these photos.
