January 11, 1968: George records Wonderwall.

Mark Lewisohn (author of The Complete Chronicle of the Beatles): “EMI Studios, Bombay, India. Producer: George Harrison; Engineers: J.P. Sen and S.N. Gupta. Worked on the soundtrack for the film “Wonderwall”.
Rita Tushingham (actress): “I left Liverpool just before the Beatles. They were still playing at the Cavern. I knew them because we all went to the same clubs. One day, the Liverpool ‘mob’ moved to London and conquered it. “It was a crazy time, and the Beatles were fun and energetic. I worked with Richard Lester, so they came to the premiere of his film “The Knack…and How to Get It.”
In 1968, I was in India, where I was filming with Michael Yorke and directed by James Ivory on the movie The Guru. George was there and we went into his studio. In the picture I sit and look at him adoringly. It was when he was playing the sitar.”
