Liam Gallagher was told by Yoko Ono that his son would ‘get picked on at school’ for being named Lennon. The late Beatles’ legend’s wife caught wind that Liam named his son after John Lennon and thought it was ‘silly.’ Liam met Yoko in New York in 1999, the same year his son was born. ‘Yoko said, “I’ve heard you’ve called your son Lennon,”‘ the Oasis rocker said, ‘I said, “Yeah”, she said, “Why? Do you not think it’s a bit of a silly name?” And I said, “No, it’s a bit silly being called Yoko isn’t it? So Lennon it is.”‘ Yoko went on to ask if Liam thought Lennon would ‘get picked on in school’, but the singer insisted that his son would be ‘buzzing with that name’. Oasis have long been big Beatles fans.
