Let It Be – The Beatles Legend Embedded to Subconsciousness

“Let It Be” is one of the first songs that come up to mind when we talk about the Beatles. This song by Paul McCartney reflects the rebirth and ascendance perception by being free from the shadow of the darkness with its hope in it. Both the emotions in the song and giving name to the last the Beatles album, “Let It Be” has numerous special aspects.

McCartney remembers the hard times he had on Fall 1968 when he tells the story. In those times, the band was preparing a new album after “White Album” which was one of the most successful albums in the band’s history. The band members realized that the last act of the Beatles was near and they stray away from the common ground. Especially McCartney was having fun like there was no tomorrow and describes his uncontrolled life as the only single member of the band. Then one night, when he was somewhere between deep sleep and insomnia, with his own definition, at the moment when he made the closest contact with his subconscious mind, his mother, whom he lost at the age of 14 and whose face he had difficulty in remembering, visits him in the most realistic way possible and says those magic words: “Let it be”.

McCartney created the song from his memories about his mother that became cleared that night and he said that the band members and everyone else realized that “magical” charm.

Even though the musical reflections created by the consciousness reflect the identities of a producer, the music genres that the listener prefers and feels belong to, reflect the identities of the music consumer. It is also quite clear that in the “lower consciousness” that develops out of our control in some parts of our minds and minds, which is difficult to reach but can appear suddenly, there are reflections of our individual preferences on our social lives, clues about our identity, and tons of emotions, thoughts and ideas waiting to be discovered. These ideas might have come for help to give “inspiration” as they lived their daily lives and tried to find answers. When we make our mind that plays this sort of games throughout our lives into immortal memories, these are recorded as the special works in the archives.

“Let It Be” ended the Beatles legend. This might be a “turning point” for the band members to go on their way and continue with different projects. The Beatles completed its duty like all the entities who caught up with the time and the band break up in 1970. All of those important songs have different stories. Numerous artists covered Let It Be over the years to give hope and the song never lost its meaning and gathered masses together as a constructive element. This “magical charm” might be Paul McCartney’s subconsciousness coming forward to find answers to his thoughts.
