January 3, 1970 The Beatles’ final recording session occurred at EMI’s Abbey Road Studios

Working on the “Get Back” sessions (later changed to “Let it Be”) at Studio Two of EMI Studios in London, three of the Beatles (Paul, George, and Ringo as John was vacationing in Denmark) recorded 16 takes of the George Harrison song “I Me Mine.”
Three months later, on April 1st, Phil Spector’s controversial orchestral overdubs to “Across the Universe,” “The Long and Winding Road” and “I Me Mine” were recorded, with Ringo Starr adding drums on the last-ever Beatles session. A decade later it became the title of George Harrison’s auto-biography. August 20, 1969 was the last time that all four Beatles were at EMI Studios, but they did no recording, instead only adding overdubs.
