The composer of numerous memorable songs, George Harrison is a Beatles member rather on the background just like Ringo Starr compared to John Lennon and Paul McCartney.
George Harrison started to play in The Beatles when he was 16 years old and the other band members saw him as a child. George Harrison was officially a Beatle when he was 20 (1963). This was he had an international fame. But he never felt like he was in The Beatles.
As the Beatles became famous, George Harrison was popular among young girls. He had 30,000 cards and gifts on his 21st birthday.
He met his wife Pattie Boyd in 1964 on A Hard Day’s Night movie.
Harrison was responsible to check the tune of the equipment and he gained a better position over time. But the arguments in the group increased when he was at the best of his work.
His last work with Beatles was a record on 04 January 1970 which John Lennon didn’t participate.
Harrison was influenced from the Indian culture and he started to reflect this in his lyrics and music.
After the band was disbanded, George Harrison launched a solo album called “All Things Must Pass” in 1970. After a while, he was only friends with John Lennon.
George Harrison was a close friend with Eric Clapton. When Harrison and Pattie Boyd had problems, Boyd got closer to Clapton and divorced Harrison and married to Clapton. But Harrison was not sad about it, he attended to their wedding and stayed friends with both of them. Then, he married to Olivia Trinidad Arias and the couple had a son.
He had throat cancer in 2001 and died.
