The sons of Astronaut Charles Conrad register Beatles in Houston, Texas. Pete 10 left appears awed while Tommy, 8 covers his ears. Their father makes another try to ride aloft in Gemini 5 with his space partner, Gordon Cooper.

“Once you get Beatlemania you can’t do without it” says 17-year-old Sharon Ward. “I hope I never lose it”

Sharon travelled 1,000 miles from her home in Reserve Mines , N.S, to see the Beatles’ Maple Leaf Gardens show.

She had a room in the same hotel as the Beatles with Gloria Bannett, 23, a secretary from North Sydney,N.S.

The two said it took eight moths of scheming and saving to arrive here and get rooms in the same hotel where their idols are staying.

They are not screamers and wish they could hear the British singing stars over the noise of the audience.

“I think the screamers are the younger girls,” Gloria explained.

The Beatles hit Montreal and Toronto again this week and Toronto got the better deal, Above the Beatles play to a packed Maple Leaf Gardens. But Montreal had to settle something a little Marie Wax Museum. But wax or not, they still gave them a motorcade trip from the airport in sports cars below.
