The pop-singing Beatles came to Glasgow last night. And 24 girls landed in the hospital.
More than 200 others were treated for shock, burises and hysteria as a police and ambulance workers battled the control crowds of yelling teenagers.
About 1.500 hyterical fans tried to rush a movie between shows give by the four mop-haired singers. An ambulance official said “it was frightening”
The girls in hospital were suffering shock and exhaustion, but more none was seriously hurt.
When their second show ended the Beatles were whisked to Glasgow’s airport and flown back to London. Mounted police were called in to control crowds.
