Posing on the terraces of the Duomo or on the stage of the Vigorelli velodrome, at the exit of the hotel or submerged by fans in delirium: they are ‘The Beatles live!’ recounted in the unpublished shots of Farabola archives exhibited until 9th July at the Feltrinelli bookshop in piazza Duomo. On 24 June 1965 the Fab Four held their only two Milanese concerts – one in the afternoon and one in the evening – at Vigorelli, and then continued their short Italian tour with the stops in Genoa and Rome. At the time they were photographed by the Farabola agency’s envoys and up to now only a dozen of the shots made that day were put into circulation, ie those that Farabola had selected, printed and distributed to newspapers. “For almost 50 years it was believed that those were the only existing photographs of the Beatles in Milan – explain from the archives Farabola – The exhibition set up at Feltrinelli presents a preview of a selection of unpublished images” (Lucia Landoni)
